The Odyssey Brochure
Assignment

Ithican Travels is offering a new tour... a sailing tour of the travels of Odysseus. You need to create a travel brochure that can be used to show prospective customers. The project can be set up any way you want: a brochure, a booklet, a fold out flyer. However, the final product must LOOK PROFESSIONAL. Neatness certainly counts.

Requirements:

1. Each "page" of the brochure must represent a different setting. Make sure the setting is clearly printed, and make sure the pages are IN ORDER of when Odysseus visited them.

2. Choose a graphic that represents that stop on the tour.

3. Give your brochure a nice cover.

4. You need to include five pieces of information on each setting:

  • Where the setting is geographically
  • The good aspects of this stop on the tour
  • The bad aspects or dangers of this stop on the tour
  • The main features of this stop (what specifically happened here)
  • How you would personally rate this part of the tour
Audience: Your teacher
Format: Handwritten or typed
Style: No style analysis required
Length: One page per setting
Presentation: Clipped pictures, hand drawn pictures, or computer generated images are all fine. It must, however, be neat and the settings must reflect the reading. So, don't draw by hand unless you can draw well.
