"Where'd you get that car?" his mom demanded.

"Johnston from the store'll come get it later."

Kevin smiled and strolled away from the run down shithole where his ma struggled to pay rent. Johnston would come, meet his mother, and fall madly in love.

Two hours later, police arrested Haddie Brown for receiving stolen goods.
